My life in the UAE: The 40th anniversary of the UAE was celebrated at the Russian International School

TO CELEBRATE THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES IN THE RUSSIAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, WE BEGIN TO PREPARE IN ADVANCE. EXCURSIONS TO THE MUSEUMS OF DUBAI AND SHARJA WERE ORGANIZED FOR PUPILS OF ALL CLASSES TO UNDERSTAND THE HISTORY OF THE UAE, ITS NATURE, CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS. BUT THE EXCURSIONS TO THE “KIT-KAT” CHOCOLATE FACTORY turned out to be the most interesting. CHILDREN OF YOUNGER CLASSES HAVE MADE FLAGS AND FESTIVALS FOR DECORATION OF SCHOOL WITH HANDS, DRAWED WONDERFUL PICTURES AND FULFILLED APPLICATIONS Telling ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL GOST.

Together with their parents, the children made photo newspapers “My Life in the UAE”, from which it became clear to everyone that the lives of our compatriots are beautiful and diverse, that along with visiting amusement parks, water parks and safaris, they do not forget about their traditions here, celebrate their favorite holidays and even get baptized. The jury recognized the most striking and interesting photo newspapers as the works of Pavlik Bukhanets, Sasha Novichkova, Anna Martynenko, Emil Mirzazade (1 “B”), Lyubov Terakopova, Abdul-Hamid Hasanov (1 “A”) and Nikita Mitin (7th grade).

The council of high school students took on the role of chief informant. Representatives of the Council, students in grades 8-11, held thematic class hours in all classes. For children of grades 1-5, information was prepared on the flora and fauna of the UAE, on how animals and plants adapted to life in desert conditions. Students in grades 6-8 were introduced to the customs and traditions of the Arab country, and for high school students the topic of developing diplomatic and humanitarian relations between the UAE and Russia became interesting.

The main test for the Council of high school students was a competition of presentations and newspapers about the seven emirates that make up the UAE. Based on the results of the draw, the children determined the emirate for themselves and during the school holidays they prepared for demonstrations and made out wall newspapers. Over 7 days, competitive presentations were held for students in grades 5–6 at major breaks. For high school students, these were competitions in the ability to represent each emirate interestingly, to tell about its history, geographical location, economy, sights, and ruler.

And for middle-aged children, this was a great opportunity to learn a lot from the history of the UAE and to go in absentia where they have not been. As a result, the works were recognized as the best: Nikita Mazaev, Edward Kondrat and Taisiya Popova from 9 "A" - presentation of Ras Al-Kheima; Nasti Tkach, Samvel Stepanyan and Pavel Oslin from 8 "A" - presentation of Ajman; Dina Romantsova and Ksenia Ankudinova from 8 "B" - presentation of Umm Al-Kuwain.

Pupils of grades 5-6 were able to test their knowledge during the competition and entertainment program "The country in which we live." Here, the guys competed in a quiz on the UAE, in knowledge of Arabic and English, the ability to cook an Arabic national breakfast, perform oriental dance, issue an advertising poster about the UAE, and also demonstrated the ability to talk about outstanding tourist sites of the United Arab Emirates in the "Become a Guide" contest.

A staging was prepared for elementary school students - a commercial for "Come to Dubai." Artists from different classes delighted the kids with a bright and colorful fairy tale performance that told about the tourist’s journey through the endless desert, about gin from the lamp and how a beautiful city and country grew up among quicksand, where a fairy tale rules life, there is a wise ruler and the most The tallest building in the world. And the presentation ended with a video demonstration with magnificent views of Dubai.

The 40th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates was also reflected in the lessons. Each teacher sought to use information about the country in the topic of the lesson to expand the horizons of students and put knowledge into practice. Connoisseurs of the Russian language took part in the essay competition on the UAE. The best works of the children were awarded by the jury, and the authors were awarded souvenirs.

City concert venues did not go unnoticed. 6th grade students led by dance teacher Victoria Olegovna Provkina performed in the open air at Crick Park and the Ethnographic Village (Heritage Village) in the Shindag area at events organized by the Dubai Education Zone, as well as the Dubai Police and KHDA to celebrate the anniversary country. Incendiary Russian dances and vibrant national costumes are traditionally warmly received by the audience and introduce them to our culture.

On the eve of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the UAE in the courtyard of the Russian international school, the “Map of the UAE”, made by students of grades 9 “B” and 10 “A”, was part of the project. The kids filled it with drawings about their happy childhood, and on the day of December 2, having lined up on a solemn ruler with UAE flags in their hands, they became a clear confirmation that a huge number of our compatriots from Russia and the CIS countries who work here live in the Emirates, are growing.

During the line, the children read verses in Arabic (teacher Ekaterina Eduardovna Nasr), addressed with kind words to the sheikhs-rulers of the UAE. The line also presented gifts to the most active participants in school events dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the country's founding. The school staff, students and their parents wholeheartedly congratulated the inhabitants of the UAE on their national holiday and wished this warm and hospitable land further prosperity.
