Sheikh Khalifa Foundation to build a new mosque in Kazakhstan

The Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (KBZF) has confirmed its participation in the construction of the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan mosque in Chimkent, the regional center of South Kazakhstan Region.

The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque, which is being built in Shymkent by the KBZF, will be able to accommodate more than 3,500 people at a time. The building area is 4 thousand square meters. m, another 270 square meters. m will be allocated for the construction of a prayer hall for women. Currently, more than half of the construction work has already been completed.

The design of the mosque was carried out in accordance with the model of Islamic architecture. After the completion of its construction, it will be one of the largest mosques in Kazakhstan.

The mosque has a large dome 37 m high and four minarets 31 m high. In addition, it provides for the construction of a residence for the imam, a public library, a parking lot for 120 parking spaces, toilets and places for bathing before prayer.
