The first budget hotel of the easyHotel hotel chain opens in Dubai

On August 1, 2010, the first budget hotel of the renowned hotel operator easyHotel will be opened in the free economic zone of Dubai - Jebel Ali (JAFZA). It should be noted that, having decided to open its first hotel outside of Europe, the hotel operator easyHotel chose to do it in the United Arab Emirates.

The new hotel has 216 rooms and, according to the JAFZA administration, is already accepting room bookings. The price for a double room at the hotel starts from 99 dirhams (US $ 27) per night. "Everyone knows that Dubai is famous for its luxury hotels, however, it is clear that not everyone can afford to stay at such hotels during their holidays," said Kalum Russell, commercial director of easyHotel.com. “We are convinced that today the niche of budget hotels in the Dubai hotel market is not filled. In this regard, we are going to fill this gap and contribute to the development of budget hotels.”

The easyHotel budget hotel chain is part of the easyGroup group of companies, which was founded by renowned Greek entrepreneur Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, living and conducting business in London, Monaco and Athens. The easyHotel budget hotels do not provide such services as housekeeping, luggage transfer, early and late check-in and check-in, hotel vending machines with drinks and food, and wireless Internet access. However, if the guest wishes, these services can be provided for a fee.
