Etihad increases board capacity on flights to New York

Etihad Airways will supply A380 super liners for flights to New York.

Dubai, UAE. Starting June 1, Etihad Airways, UAE's national carrier, will deliver the A380 superliners on both daily flights to New York. The company said they did not plan to reduce flights on US routes, because the high demand for flights remained even after the ban on the use of laptops and tablets on board was introduced.

According to a statement from Etihad Airways, the company "does not feel a significant change in demand" on flights to the US in recent weeks. There are still 45 weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to six US cities: New York, Washington, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Dallas.

Moreover, from June 1, both daily flights from Abu Dhabi to New York will be operated on A380 superliners - thus, the capacity of flights will be increased.

Recall, it was previously reported that the second UAE national carrier, Emirates Airline, reduces the number of flights to the United States from Dubai after the introduction of restrictions imposed by the Donald Trump administration.
