On June 6, 2017, the 10th annual country conference of organizations of Russian compatriots living in the UAE was held in Dubai.
Representatives of five public organizations of Russian compatriots in the UAE, members of the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots (KSORS), held the next annual country conference on June 6, 2017. Immediately after the opening of the conference, the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Gocha Levanovich Buachidze delivered an opening speech to the delegates, who positively assessed the work of the organizations of Russian compatriots and wished them further successes, especially regarding the development of the youth movement of compatriots in the UAE.
Igor Albertovich Egorov, a representative of the Africa and the Middle East region at the World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots (VKS), informed those present about the main directions of their work in this position, as well as about the most important tasks facing compatriot organizations around the world.
Tatyana Al Aroud, chairman of the UAE CRCF, brought the agenda of the conference to the audience, identified the members of the counting committee and wished the delegates successful work.
Further, reports were made by representatives of all organizations: Tatyana Al Aroud, who is also the chairman of the organization of Russian women in the UAE "Rossiyanka"; Elena Tarilova, Chairman of the Association of Russian Compatriots (ARS) in the UAE; Saleh Al Aroud, Chairman of the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs (RSP) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates; German Gussakovsky, head of the Youth Organization of Russian Compatriots (MORS); Marina Aksyonova, head of the Cultural and Educational Center (KPC) at the arrival of the Holy Apostle Philip in Sharjah.
After listening to the speakers, the delegates unanimously voted in favor of declaring the results of the work of the United Arab Emirates Corridor Council as satisfactory.
After that, the participants discussed the issue of nominating a representative of the region of Africa and the Middle East to the videoconferencing from organizations of the United Arab Emirates, which received the right to this at a regional conference of Russian compatriots in Jordan, for a new term (2018 - 2021) and again in a private ballot by majority vote Igor Egorov, who today oversees the work of the group on trade and economic cooperation and philanthropy, was elected to this position.
Following the results of the Xth country conference, delegates from organizations of Russian compatriots adopted a resolution, the text of which was read by Sergey Tokarev, general secretary of the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs in Dubai. After minor amendments and additions, the resolution was unanimously approved and adopted. It reflected the main achievements of the organizations of compatriots of the UAE for the previous period and identified the most important areas of work for the coming year.
In particular, the resolution recommended that organizations of Russian compatriots actively work to replenish their ranks, primarily at the expense of youth, support the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to declare 2018-2027 as the Decade of Childhood, and promote the creation and expansion of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation with compatriots-entrepreneurs and the possibility of their entry into both the Russian and regional markets.
In addition, in the Resolution of the 10th UAE Country Conference, words of gratitude were expressed: to the organizers of the annual round tables in the UAE in Russian language and literature, Pushkin Readings and literary and music salons; the organizers and participants of the celebration in honor of the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, held in Dubai; The Crisis Center at the Church of St. Apostle Philip in Sharjah for helping compatriots in difficult situations, the Embassy and Consulate General of the Russian Federation in the UAE, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Rossotrudnichestvo.

After the official part of the conference, the representative of the Federal Agency for Rossotrudnichestvo in the UAE, Alexei Popov, brought to the attention of the audience useful information about student recruitment programs in Russian universities, as well as upcoming events of Russian compatriots, such as the youth conference in Sofia and some other others.
By tradition, the conference participants were offered a light dinner (many arrived at the conference right from work), after which the delegates in a warm friendly atmosphere continued informal communication on a wide range of issues.
The next country conference of organizations of Russian compatriots in the UAE should be held in Dubai no later than June 2018.
