Tango, salsa, samba - for everyone who wants to dance

Evening. Twenty-fifth floor of the Jumerian Beach Hotel. Restaurant La Parilla. Soft, flowing light and Argentine music. “I want to dance like them,” the girl sitting next to me whispered, looking mesmerized into the center of the hall. There, on the dance floor, is a couple in white. Eyes to eyes. Passion with a hint of hate and boundless love at the same time. Clear, precise movements, even a wave of eyelashes, seems to be worked out to perfection. They attract the eye with their skill and depth of feelings experienced in the dance.

Ten minutes later, my neighbor herself was on the dance floor, in the midst of this passion and love. Having disconnected the couple, and looking more under her feet than in the eyes of her partner, she is uncertainly moving in a new dance for herself. She learns to dance tango, trying on her magic. Arriving at La Parilla at eight o’clock in the evening, you can not only taste Argentinean cuisine, listen to live music performed by a group from South America and watch professional tango dancers, but also join in the fascinating process of teaching this passionate, languid and, nevertheless, clear and rhythmic dance. Although, it’s difficult to call it a “learning process”, because rarely completely unprepared people who do not have even an elementary idea of the basic movements in tango rarely go to the dance floor. By eleven in the evening the restaurant turns into a venue for a Latin party. Believe me, this is a real Brazilian carnival in miniature!

If you want to prepare a little before showing off your choreographic abilities right in the restaurant, in front of unsuspecting friends, you are welcome to any of the dance schools, of which there are enough in Dubai today. They are ready to teach everyone who wants to dance tango, country, salsa, samba, rumba, flamenco and other popular and not so types of dances. In the afternoon - a lesson at school, in the evening - going to a restaurant or club, performing a sparkling dance paired with a professional artist and, as a result, - great mood, calories burned, scored a little earlier at the table, and admiring glances of others. I must say that dancing depends on the choice of the restaurant, or, conversely, the choice of the restaurant depends on the choice of the dance that one wants to see and perform so much.

For example, La Parilla restaurant is tango and latin, El Malicon in Dubai Marine Beach Resort hotel is samba, Savage Garden club in Capitol Hotel is merengue, samba, salsa and other dances. By the way, in Savage Garden the system of teaching the basics of dance is somewhat different from other popular places. Special nightly lessons are held here from 20.00 to 22.00. That is, before the arrival of the bulk of visitors, when the restaurant is still very quiet and crowded, professional dancers will teach you the basic movements of salsa. And after classes you can "light up" with them on the dance floor. And again - the surprised faces of friends, triumph and questions like: "And when did you manage to learn this?" The main thing is not to tell anyone that you were here two hours earlier.

I must say that every person has an innate sense of rhythm. And even if it seems to you that you are moving awkwardly and ugly, try listening to Latin American music, merge into its rhythm, feel with your whole body the pulse of the evening city surrounding you and, most importantly, learn to trust your partner and his movements - and everything will work out! No one promises that after a couple of classes in one of the dance schools, and even more so on the dance floor of a restaurant or club, you can become a star, but it's worth a try. Spicy and sweet, like the first kiss, sensual and beautiful, like true love, impetuous and entailing, like life itself, the dance will give you new joy from discovering yourself ...

Evening. Twenty-fifth floor. Argentine tango. On the dance floor is a couple in white. She is completely subject to this rhythm. And this evening.
