Presidential elections in the UAE and other Arabian countries held

Organized, with high voter turnout, the day before the presidential elections in six countries of the Arabian Peninsula - the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Yemen, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

In all nine polling stations of the region (one in Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar, and two in the UAE, Yemen and Saudi Arabia), the vote count has been completed. Elections recognized.

"There were no complaints about the organization of the elections. There were no incidents. Very good activity was shown," said Khaidar Ganiev, chairman of the election commission at the Russian Embassy in Kuwait. According to him, "almost 100 percent of 232 registered voters voted."

The organizers of the Russian presidential election in the Yemeni capital Sana'a and the port city of Aden noted "high turnout at polling stations" and "very great interest shown by Russian citizens to the presidential elections."

Russian citizens working and living in Saudi Arabia voted in Riyadh and Jeddah. In Jeddah, according to the chairman of the election commission, Vice Consul Bagavudin Aliyev, "64 people participated in the elections, which makes up 68 percent of the list of voters."

"The turnout among employees of Russian state institutions located in Riyadh was 95%," said Igor Kremnev, adviser-envoy of the Russian Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
