Obtaining a resident visa

A residence visa on the basis of a property purchase contract and a license from a developer company, which sponsors a visa to the state, is issued to the buyer by the Department of Immigration and Naturalization.
It is the real estate developer that is registered with the Land Department as the main owner and owner of the project. Based on this, she has the right to obtain resident visas for her clients - however, not earlier than when the object is completed.
All members of the same family are entitled to a resident visa when purchasing real estate. If the apartment is registered in the name of the spouse, then he, providing documents confirming kinship, can open visas for the spouse and children.
The visa application procedure takes from 10 to 14 days and goes through all the necessary steps, namely:
- Submission of personal data in accordance with the form requested by the developer. This information then goes to the Department of Immigration and Naturalization.
- Passage of the medical commission.
- Passing a passport to the Department of Immigration for pasting a resident visa.
It should be noted that such a visa does not give the property owner the right to work in the UAE. If he wants to find a job or act as an investor, he needs to change the sponsor of the visa.
Until the age of 18, the son may be sponsored by the father. After that, he no longer has the right to sponsor support, but he is able to become a co-owner of real estate - however, only together with his parents (or other adults). Only having reached 21 years, a young man can act as the absolute owner of property.
