A serious fire broke out in the emirate of Ajman (UAE) yesterday, which killed a person.
A major fire in the industrial zone of the Ajman Emirate, UAE, destroyed 12 retail spaces and resulted in death last night, December 16, 2017.
Abdulaziz Ali Al Shamsi, director general of Ajman's civil defense, said the fire report was received at around 4 p.m. A few minutes later, firefighters were already fighting a fire that spread rapidly due to the wind.
"Teams from Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah and Umm Al-Quwain helped put out the fire. In addition, there were ambulance teams, the Electricity and Water Authority, as well as the municipality, which provided support," said Mr. Al-Shamsi, adding that firefighters found at the scene the body of a man of Asian descent.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
