The first smart park is ready in Dubai

Dubai’s first smart park boasts electric charging stations.

Dubai's first smart park with electric charging stations and car parks that are powered by solar energy, appeared in Al Barsha South.

Marwan Al Muhammed, director of the Department of General Projects, said the project was worth 15 million dirhams ($ US 4 million). It covers an area of seven hectares.

Fatima Al Muhairi, project manager for gardening and landscape planning, said that this is the first district park in Dubai with charging stations in the parking lot.

The municipality of Dubai also has a plan to provide electric car stations for all neighboring parks.

Al Muhairi added that 150 shaded parking spaces with solar panels with a capacity of more than 260 MW / hour per year were installed in the smart park.

The official confirmed that for the first time in Dubai, a solar power plant connected to the Dubai electricity network was equipped with a robotic self-cleaning system, which increases the efficiency of power generation.

Other facilities in the park include a bike path, two children's playgrounds and a fenced family area.
