The first journalist with artificial intelligence appeared in Dubai

The first artificial intelligence journalist named Tamara appeared in Dubai.

Dubai, UAE. The first journalist in the region with artificial intelligence named Tamara was presented at the Arab Media Forum in Dubai. Tamara has already managed to interview His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, and will soon join the team of the Arab news channel Al Arabiya News Channel.

The journalist robot is able to scan information from six thousand websites and read over 23 thousand articles, opinions and comments on social networks in milliseconds. Tamara has already been called a tireless journalist, because she does not need a sleep or coffee break.

Tamara is trained to collect news, analyze facts and present information in various formats. "As a detective, I collect data from various sources that are most suitable for a news report. At the same time, I can scan six thousand online sources, including blogs and posts on social networks," said Tamara.

Among the capabilities of the robot is the quick detection of false news using a sophisticated algorithm for checking and matching information. She can also emphasize and identify the most valuable information, which greatly facilitates the investigation of journalists. “The process is based on assessing the interests of the audience, as well as on statistics of requests and discussions of this or that information,” Tamara said.

She emphasized that she was not going to replace living journalists - so, the right to publish the information she collected was left to them. Meanwhile, Tamara herself can prepare an informational plot - in the format of a TV report, press release or urgent news.
