The Russian company White Rabbit Family has opened a new restaurant in the center of Dubai.
Dubai, UAE. The White Rabbit Family (WRF) group, which runs restaurants in Moscow, Sochi and Astana, has opened its first restaurant in Dubai. Crab Market is located in Downtown Dubai, near the famous Burj Khalifa Tower.
The concept of the restaurant - seafood and sea delicacies - was developed by WRF brand chef Vladimir Mukhin, the only Russian chef who for three consecutive years got into the top 30 best in the world according to The World's 50 Best Restaurants rating.
Crab Market is a joint project of WRF and Alexander Orlov (Bulldozer Group), which has several establishments in the Middle East, including the franchised Sass Cafe and Cipriani, as well as Novikov Restaurant & Bar Dubai. WRF at Crab Market is responsible for the cuisine and promotion in Russia, the Bulldozer Group directly runs the project on the spot, said WRF co-owner Boris Zarkov.
High competition in the restaurant market of Dubai Zarkov does not bother. "Crab Market is a premium-segment restaurant whose cuisine is based on crab and seafood. It has no direct competitors, and I would call the cuisine set by Vladimir Mukhin our competitive advantage, very high quality products and the service that the Bulldozer Group team monitors" - explains Zarkov. There are many restaurants in Dubai, but there are almost no crab, especially of a high level, so the project may be in demand, says one of the Russian restaurateurs.
Orlov and Zarkov announced plans to open a restaurant in Dubai in the spring of 2016. Initially, the opening was planned for the fall of that year, but the construction was delayed. The expert interviewed by Vedomosti estimated the investments in the project at approximately US $ 5 million. Orlov announced the figure of US $ 4.5 million. They expect the investments to be returned within two to three years, Orlov specified.
WRF was founded by Zarkov in 2011, now the company has 19 restaurants in Moscow, Sochi and Astana, and several more are preparing for the opening. In addition, since 2017, the WRF (together with the V Сonfession agency) has been holding the Ikra gastronomic festival - the only such festival in Russia at the international level. Bulldozer Group Holding was founded in 2001 and operates dozens of restaurants around the world - in Russia, Kazakhstan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine.
