Uber Launches Lightweight Taxi Application in UAE

The new Uber application, which saves user traffic, will be launched in the United Arab Emirates.

Uber, the company that manages the taxi service of the same name, has announced the launch of a simplified version of the Uber Lite application for residents of the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Uber Lite allows users to order a taxi even on the simplest smartphones and in an unstable Internet connection. The lite version of the application not only saves Internet traffic, but also does it without compromising functionality. Some functions work even without an internet connection.

Tino Abdellatif Waked, Uber’s general manager for the Middle East and North Africa, said: “Uber is committed to providing reliable transportation solutions for our passengers, and it goes without saying that the quality of the network connection should not be an obstacle to this goal.”
