Dubai discloses fraud on behalf of famous billionaire

A Dubai businessman warned that fraudsters use his name in their scams.

The head of the Damac development company, Hussein Sajwani, warned that fraudsters use his name and the name of his foundation in attempts to deceive people.

Damac is one of the most well-known developers in the country, and the Damac Foundation is the main sponsor of the program of the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to teach youth programming from all over the Middle East.

Hussein Sajwani urged everyone who was contacted by fraudsters on his behalf to contact the police at [email protected] or by phone at 901.

The entrepreneur did not disclose exactly how the scammers act.

Now in the UAE a surge in financial fraud has been recorded. Many residents report complaints by cybercriminals who use upcoming major events, such as Expo-2020, as a pretext to steal money and personal data. Fraudsters also often act allegedly on behalf of banks, including on behalf of Emirates NBD.
