A miniature tanned beauty with a keen sense of style and aesthetic maximalism in choosing accessories is Annarita Celano. The designer playfully showed me the collections, posed for Instagram and started the conversation with the main source of inspiration for the yoga brand.

Annarita, so yoga prompted you to start a business?

Annarita: Exactly! My chakras seemed to open: I felt that yoga classes directed me on the right path. I have been working in the fashion industry for a long time, but I do not like the short “life” of trends. After a month, everything bothers and for me personally becomes irrelevant. Jewelry, on the other hand, lasts quite a while, and subsequently can become vintage, which is why I took up it. That's how long thinking and yoga "pushed" me out of my comfort zone. The first 2 years I explored this area, tried to work with different craftsmen and materials. Gradually in Italy, I got fans. Stefano and Dolce began to use my jewelry for their shows. Of course, “star editors” helped to some extent, for example, Anna Dello Russo, editor-in-chief of VOGUE Japan. 5000 "likes" at a time on social networks is a success! She will definitely be jealous of the fact that I present my new collection in Dubai today, and not in Japan.

What style do you stick to?

Annarita: I like bright, catchy accessories that only “whisper” about the status of their owner. I was born and raised in Napoli, but often visit Milan, so the collections contain the spirit of the Italian fashion capital. Celano combines feminine elegance with a sufficiently “strong”, but by no means aggressive design. For example, I like to combine black diamonds with cold-colored metals. In addition, each individual item in the collection is collected and processed manually. Celano is my idea and concept. First of all, as a stylist, I create accessories for myself, and, believe me, there are many ways to combine them with clothes.

What is the name of the technique in which the iconic "pompons" are made on your bracelets and rings?

Annarita: This is a technique specially developed by me and my masters called micro-fusion. It allows you to work with soft 18ct Italian gold or galvanized silver. Along with this, precious and semiprecious stones are gradually added to the design.

You have already touched on the subject of chakras. What is the special feature of the new Lucky collection?

Annarita: The Lucky collection is very delicate. On a person, accessories seem to dissolve, our long necklaces and bracelets look so tender. In addition, there are diamonds. When I worked on the collection, it was very important for me to completely control both the creative and the production process.

That is, you yourself work with stones and metals?

Annarita: Yes, oddly enough. I not only make sketches, but also work with stones, because I need to see the color in its natural form in the light. By the way, this is how we made friends with one of my main clients - Etoile La Boutique. It is important for me that Celano products appear in all their splendor and “play” even under artificial lighting, and the boutique's windows are especially attractive in this regard. By the way, the 2014 collection I present here before it goes to New York.

Milan, New York, Dubai ... Which city do you want to conquer next?

Annarita: I'm not in a hurry. My brand is very youthful and lively. I develop it through loyal customers, fans, social pages and personal recommendations. Of course, I would like to conquer London, create my own "club Celano".

What about Moscow and Russian fashionistas?

Annarita: The Russian market is a separate topic for discussion. This is a vital market for every designer. I personally am in love with Russian girls: they are young, beautiful, and brave. Their style is trendy and cocky. The Russian girls I know in Milan are noticeably in the distance. Let us, gentlemen, designers, just admit everything: Russian beauties give our creations more chic!
