For the 16th time, the International Boat Show is being held here - one of the fastest growing marine exhibitions in the world. The show was organized and hosted by Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC), Mina Seyahi.

The largest Middle Eastern and international companies competed for the exhibition space under the emirate sun. Two months before the opening of the bot show, the organizers registered a record growth - in 20% - of those wishing to participate.

More than 95% of the participants plan to present their products next year.

Dubai is expanding its borders, stretching far into the sea with growing bulk islands. The coastal part is increasing, and, accordingly, the need for pleasure yachts, equipment and services is developing. Harald Schlegel, Business Development Manager for Palm Marine, a local shipyard, noted that, compared to last year, the demand for luxury boats has grown significantly. In just a few days of the exhibition, contracts were signed for the sale of seven yachts, and applications for the construction and purchase of new ones were received.

In addition to a grandiose show on the water, the yacht club offered an open area and two covered pavilions for equipment and various services. Each participant was able to present products for their target audience. With such a scale and variety of exhibits, it is not surprising that this year's statistics broke records in 2007, when more than 25 thousand people visited the exhibition. The professional organization and development of the yachting industry in this region will undoubtedly put forward the International Boat Show in Dubai to a leading position in the world.
