Costa Coffee has successfully tested its drones coffee delivery service in Dubai.
After a survey that showed that 82 percent of UAE customers would like to get drinks using unmanned vehicles, London-based Costa Coffee carried out a test delivery of coffee from its store on Jumeirah Beach Road in Dubai.
Orders were made over the phone and delivered to the beach within 15 minutes with a specially designed drone.
Sheimaine Jones, marketing manager for Costa Coffee UAE, said unmanned aerial vehicles are the future of instant delivery.
"Our customers told us that they would like to receive their favorite drinks with the help of drones, so we are very pleased with the successful tests of this service, which allows visitors to the beach to enjoy cold drinks without leaving the sun loungers," she said.
