UAE will not increase the cost of issuing identity cards

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates declare that the fee for processing identity documents remains unchanged.

The UAE Federal Office for Identity and Citizenship Issues issued a statement refuting any changes to the size of service fees. Clients were strongly encouraged to ignore unofficial sources of information. It is emphasized that any changes will be reported through official channels.

The fee for issuing, renewing or replacing identity cards is fixed in the law, and it amounts to 100 dirhams ($ 27) for a five-year period for citizens of the UAE and Gulf countries.

Visas of residents will be valid for the duration of the stay, and their cost is 100 dirhams when issuing and 70 dirhams ($ 19) for processing the electronic form and 40 dirhams ($ 11) for applications submitted through the management website or application.

The fee for renewing identity cards for all applicants is equal to the cost of issuing, while replacing lost cards is 300 dirhams ($ 81.7).

Edits to the documents are made when paying a fee of 150 dirhams ($ 40.8) in addition to the costs of processing the form, depending on the application filing method chosen by the user.

There is no fee for applying for applicants with special needs or for older people over 70 years of age.
