Over 30 scientific projects from around the world received funding from the UAE

Dozens of projects that can help the United Arab Emirates space program have been funded by a local foundation.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Accelerated Research, part of the Dubai Future Foundation, has announced the financing of 36 projects under the MBR Space Settlement Challenge - a grant for space research. The selection process was conducted on a platform called Guanna.

The UAE has a strategic goal - to become one of the leading countries in the world in the field of space technology and research.

The research center has received over 260 research projects from more than 200 leading universities from 55 countries of the world - from bioengineering and life support projects on Mars to the socio-economic models necessary for the successful development of the space industry. 36 winning projects will receive direct funding for the practical implementation of their ideas.

Halfan Belhul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, said: "We believe that funded research will have a positive effect not only on the people of the UAE, but also on humanity as a whole and on the international space race."

Among the selected projects, many studies are devoted to the practical aspects of human life on Mars. Recall that the first flight to Mars, the UAE was planned for 2020.
