Cosmetology of the future - what is it? “Using lasers and robots, super fast and high-tech,” some will say. “Holistic, natural, caring for the environment,” others will object. Fans around the world have different ideas about the cosmetology of the future, as scientists are constantly discovering something new, taking into account the individual characteristics of the skin, and there is always a know-how that can delight, surprise or inspire confidence.

Very confidently declared themselves Internet technologies that are developing at space speed, often ahead of biotechnology. Scientists say that in the near future, clients of cosmetic brands, sitting at home in front of a computer, will be able to smell perfumes and creams that they will order on the Internet, and beauty salons will be equipped with touch monitors, Google Glass glasses with an integrated camera and printers for the production of cosmetics, as in science fiction films. Cosmetics will be divided into two main segments: skin products that will fight wrinkles, dryness, lethargy, and cosmetics for the so-called "tactile pleasure": you can feel, for example, the touch of sea waves, the sun, rain or gentle hands of mother. We can assume that in this area is still just beginning ... But what a scope for creative expression!

Imagine the electronic mascara that you apply before going out, but are suddenly dissatisfied with the result - you can click the "Reset" button and start all over again, easily changing the color or density as you wish. We have been working on electronic mascara for a long time, containing tiny polymer granules that will be filled with a certain color and it can be easily changed with just the click of a button.

It has been hypothesized that the cosmetics of the future will be exclusively with a solid texture, strong therapeutic and prophylactic properties and instant effect. Individual craftsmen will be able to create real masterpieces - creams and serums that activate the skin’s own abilities and make it work 100%. By the way, a solid, dry texture means will allow cosmetic brands to abandon preservatives and dyes - a common cause of allergies and skin irritations. A large number of biologically active substances can be added to the funds. Some believe that the shelf life of cosmetics with a solid consistency is unlimited.

The flight of fancy brands justifies the cost and often brings good luck in the business. The most popular will be vending machines with cosmetics, similar to the pink Glam Up & Away stalls, which Benefit, known for its creative approach and funny advertising posters, has installed at American airports in New York, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston and other cities. What is nice, vending machines will work around the clock and offer a face recognition system, which is used on various beauty sites and in mobile applications. For example, clients will be able to virtually create a new image for themselves, for example, choose a hairstyle and makeup, and at the same time examine the condition of the skin using a biometric method of computer processing and as a result receive a recommendation on the purchase of a particular product.

Time challenge

There is an opinion that in the near future, cosmetic giants will think about how to instantly satisfy the needs of the client, without spending a lot of money and time. It is no coincidence that in our time, the fashionable concept of "3D" has penetrated the world of beauty - 30-year-old Grace Choi, a graduate of Harvard Business School, invented the new Mink 3D printer, which this summer will be able to create any makeup product right at your place. A happy owner of such a printer can choose any color of a cosmetic product that she likes on a photo on the Internet, upload the picture to Photoshop and press the "Print" button to get lipstick, eyeshadow, blush, nail polish or powder specially for you from the printer. All pleasure - 300 dollars. “Mink is turning the Internet into a major beauty store,” says Grace Choi. “Cosmetic giants take the same basic ingredients, mix them in the factory and then inflate the prices of their products. We do it much cheaper and offer a unique opportunity to learn how to create cosmetics at home "

But before that, it is worth remembering that one of the main trends in cosmetics of the future is “beauty capsules”, over the composition of which scientists have been conjuring for many years in laboratories. Of course, they will not completely replace traditional cosmetics, but they can significantly enhance their effect. Advocates of this theory, researchers from the United Kingdom, take as a reference a tablet that protects the skin from the sun, which was recently developed. Sunscreen tablet - a natural product containing particles of sea coral and algae - eliminates the need to apply sunscreen every few hours on the skin and, importantly, protects the eyes from the sun. At the same time, L'Oreal is conducting clinical trials of miracle pills with fruit extracts that will help get rid of gray hair (Vitiligo can also be treated with this tool) - the first sign of aging, and Mark Lowenburg, a cosmetic dentist from New York, promises that very soon on the shelves of all pharmacies will appear tablets that protect teeth from cracks.

Before the advent of nanocosmetics, cosmetic brands didn’t go to any tricks to make the cream absorb better and retain vitamins. "The principle of nanotechnology is still actively used today, it has great hopes in the future, as it allows you to rejuvenate the skin, while stimulating the renewal of its cells and enhancing the protective properties of the skin," says Adnan Nasir, Ph.D., Clinical Associate Professor, University of North Carolina at Chapel -Hill. - In sunscreens, the nanocomplex makes the composition less oily, absorbs quickly, leaves no residue on the skin and perfectly protects from UVA and UVB rays of the sun "According to Ednan Nasir, the wonders of nanotechnology are They can be used effectively in anti-aging creams, best delivering vitamin C to the upper layers of the skin.

All these small beauty rituals will become more accessible with a holistic approach, which will be the most effective way to combat age: it will not only be about wrinkles, age spots, "crow's feet" under the eyes. Ideally, it will be possible to draw up a long-term program for the face and body that perfectly copes with aging and skin attacks: temperature changes, changes in humidity and ecology. Who would have thought that in the future the foot zone would be very important, defying the implacable time in the anti-age program.

Cosmetics, closely connected with the world of animals and insects, will regain their place under the sun, a real era of rebirth will begin: a hand cream with snail mucus extract or serum with donkey milk. Few modern ladies will be able to appreciate such a departure today, but the funds, revered from ancient times as an elixir of youth, will become hits for decades.

Some are sure that cosmetologists will develop products that enhance the beneficial properties of fruits and vegetables in cosmetics. “Food and drink will be the main inspiration for creating new product lines,” said Ramaa Chipalcatti, lead consumer insight analyst at Datamonitor. As a result, a boom of "beauty restaurants" will begin around the world, in which they will offer tasty and healthy dishes: ratatouille, sautéed eggplant, carrot cake, gazpacho, pumpkin puree soup, as well as freshly squeezed juices and smoothies - all to the delight of doctors and to visitors.
