Brilliant success of the Swiss Balloon Festival with the support of Parmigiani Fleurier

In January of this year, in the picturesque valley of the French-speaking canton of Vaud (Canton Vaud) in western Switzerland, under the auspices of the Municipality of Chateau-D'Oex, the 32nd international balloon festival was held, which was an absolute and unconditional success. For the fifth year in a row, Parmigiani Fleurier, the renowned Swiss luxury watch brand, has been representing the sponsor of this magnificent and exciting event.

In addition to flying in colorful balloons of various, sometimes funny shapes and sizes, the festival also organized hang gliding, paragliding, flying in wingsuits (cloth-winged suits), parachuting and even demonstration of aerobatics.

The culmination of the grand festival was a special musical and light performance "Night Glow", complemented by flights of lighted balloons, fireworks, dancing and even night paragliding jumps. As the main scenery were used directly mountains covered with snow. The presentation was attended by over 300 volunteers, including skiers, paragliders, aeronauts and many others.

A novelty of the 2010 festival was Parmigiani's “Precision Competition for the Target”, the essence of which was that the pilots participating in the race had to grab a gift box with the watches of this Swiss manufacturer, mounted on top of a high pillar, flying past it on their aircraft .
